50 euro notes

In the period 2007-2013, Languedoc-Roussillon was already one of France' regions that has benefited more than most others with regard to European grants. For 2014-2020, Christian Bourquin, the President of the Region, has managed to secure an incredible 1.3 billion Euros which will be invested in sustainable growth for Languedoc-Roussillon.

Priorities are for economic development and the creation and growth of businesses. Projects include internationalising the trade mark 'Sud de France, Languedoc-Roussillon' and strengthening the attractiveness of the region with further investment in rail, road, sea and air networks.

For sustainable growth, the region relies on innovation and therefore its priority will be investment in learning and research, with the construction of schools and creation of apprenticeships.

All these large-scale projects will directly benefit activity and local employment, making what is already an attractive place to live and work even more desirable. It is also further confirmation that Languedoc-Roussillon is an excellent place to invest, particularly while prices are at their lowest for the last 10 years.
